Meet Kyra (and her steed, Pigs) ->
The owner and founder of The Bark Parade, aside from her fondness of bad puns which remind millenials of their days of flippy hair and studded wristbands, she is a passionate and well equipped animal professional.
Starting as a farm hand 17 years ago, Kyra has worked professionally as a Shepherd, Riding Instructor, Equine Performer, Animal Trainer, Veterinary Prescriber, Livestock Manager and Certified Dog Trainer,
She is continuing to learn and will be qualified in applied Equine Psychology with the Equine Behaviour Association by September 2026.
Her approach to training is calm, down to earth and kind, welfare is always put first when it comes to animals and their owners. We are very proud to be one of the very few companies in the UK to offer Livestock Desensitisation with our own flock of sheep, while using positive reinforcement. We love to educate owners about the psychology of our other animals and give you the opportunity for a sheep cuddle!
